The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing the costs associated with their fit out and refurbishment projects, ensuring that their proposals are competitive and comprehensive. This role is crucial in helping them secure new business and maintain their good reputation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for fit out and refurbishment projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to produce accurate and competitive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.
• Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best prices.
• Monitor and update estimates as project details evolve.
• Prepare and submit tender documents in a timely manner.
• Maintain a database of historical data to improve accuracy and efficiency in future estimates.
• Attend site visits and meetings to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as an estimator in construction
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
