Wise Employment are looking for an Imports Assistant to join a large fast growing company based here in Plymouth. This is a fantastic temporary to permanent opportunity offers a competitive salary along with some great benefits. This role is Monday – Friday 8:45am – 5:30pm.

As an Imports Assistant your day to day responsibilities will include:

• Performing import checks of new container orders
• Processing shipping documents
• Checking and raising international payments
• Customs entry preparation & entry file release
• Expediting shipments, shipping documents and container releases with suppliers
• Ensuring accurate preparation and distribution of department reports
• Investigating and resolving shipment issues
• Data entry – Updating the data onto the bespoke intranet-based system.
• Raising & resolving claims with suppliers
• Customs Entries & Tariff compliance checks – including EU and Ireland clearance  

In order to be successful as an Imports Assistant you must:

• Have experience of International logistics is an advantage – training will be provided.
• Have great attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency of work
•  Be able to prioritise own workload.
• Have the ability to communicate effectively with The stakeholders.
• Be able to work under pressure.
• Be a fast learner, able to multi-task
• Have confidence with IT systems, particular Microsoft 365.
