£50,000 - £60,000/annum

Customer Facing Project Manager - mostly at home, occasional travel

Voice, Data, SDWAN, UCaaS, Voip, Wireless, Cisco

Role Purpose 


This customer-facing position requires the simultaneous management of multiple customer projects covering a variety of deliverable products in the voice, data, and telecoms sector.
The complexity of some projects will require an ability to manage uncertainty through engagement and facilitation of internal teams and suppliers to ensure a clear path to success and supportability is always achieved.  Responsible for customer engagement and stakeholder management both remotely and face to face.
The Customer Project Manager is always expected to embrace and promote department and company strategy and values, leading junior staff by example.
The Customer Project Manager can own their own learning and development and will take an active role in defining their own training requirement.

Supported by - Project Coordinators /Project Implementation Coordinators / Engineering Teams / Customer Experience
Supporting – Programme Managers 
Line Manager – Customer Programme Enablement Manager 
Customers – across all direct sales channels and industry sectors
Main duties and Key deliverables:
The Project Manager with be responsible for scoping, planning, resourcing, and initiating the project.  They will be responsible for the successful end to end delivery including risk & jeopardy management to achieve completion within deadlines and to budget and quality standards.
Including but not limited to 
- Creating, maintaining, and communicating all project documentation during the project lifecycle 
- Develop and agree Customer Communication Plans
Appropriately handover the delivered solution to the Operational Teams upon project completion
- Managing customer project billing and ensuring revenue is recognised in line with forecasted commitments

Other duties
•    Demonstrate flexibility towards the tasks undertaken as scope differs from project to project
•    Management reporting
•    Internal stakeholder management
•    Client senior stakeholder management and communications

Special Requirements
•    Customer PMs are expected to manage their own time and manage their diaries accordingly
•    Visit customers and suppliers as required by the project
•    Out of hours migrations are often required for customer projects and these are expected to be scheduled and resourced accordingly


Experience: 

•    Background in Telecoms / Data industry
•    Project Delivery / implementation experience
•    Experience with data and / or telecoms products
•    Experience in developing and managing a broad suite of project documents in a project environment
•    Confident in hosting customer meetings and presentations with senior representatives of high profile companies
•    Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
•    Proven ability to manage a virtual project team and associated resources    •    Proven experience delivering data and telecoms projects on behalf of customers
•    Delivery / implementation experience
•    Supplier Management
Skills/Knowledge:    •    Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Project & PowerPoint
•    Working knowledge of PRINCE2 of equivalent
•    An in depth understanding of how to manage risk and jeopardy in a project environment
•    Excellent written & verbal communications skills
