An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Interim Housing Consultant/Project Manager to join one of Adecco's leading local government clients in a temporary assignment lasting initially for six months.

Based in our client's West London (Ealing) office for two days each week, this is a full time role (5 days each week, Monday to Friday) and our client is looking for a well organised and efficient candidate with good general housing knowledge and project management skills to support them with their preparations for inspection.

Reporting into the Head of Strategy, key duties in this role include:

* Preparation and commencement of transactional surveys
* Getting involved in staff engagement sessions to promote the regulatory framework.
* Assisting dip-test of selected consumer standards and follow-up work
* Preparation of annual reports to tenants including the publishing of results for 2023/2024
* Co-ordinate development of policy and procedure library along with all connected information
* Sending out regular email updates to staff on progress with various projects and other activities relating to the regulatory framework.
* Building strong relationships, engage with and influence Members, external partners and council officers at all levels to promote the benefits of housing projects and consumer standards
* Being an active member of the housing directorate responsible for managing a portfolio of housing wide programmes and projects which deliver the statutory and non-statutory services to residents
* Working in partnership with housing and all council departments to enable services to maximise spend, deliver effective services to residents and customers and to meet the requirements of the consumer standards
* Monthly preparation of spotlight and highlight reports to the programme board.
* Overseeing progress with report recommendations
* Preparation for Housing Board meetings
* Ongoing activity to improve the council's handling of utility expenditure to housing blocks.

Whilst a public sector housing background would be ideal, our client is happy to consider applicants from all backgrounds.
