WORKING HOURS               -    37.5 hours a week

HOURLY RATE/SALARY      -   Negotiable depending on experience

LOCATION                            -   Hybrid (mix of working remotely and attending our centres in Milton Keynes and Peterborough).

We are seeking a Referrals and Placements Manager. This is a permanent and Full-time position covering all our locations. The Referrals and Placement Manager will lead and take ownership of business development initiatives to ensure that PJ Care achieves and maintains the highest possible bed occupancy at all times through an effective and structured approach to sales, in line with company strategy. The right candidate will reflect the PJ Care values of Care, Compassion and Commitment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage referrals as part of the business development process, ensuring timely and effective assessments are carried out and contractual/financial requirements are in place prior to admission and communicated to appropriate teams.
  • Ensure business strategy, business development processes, agreed plans and sales/budget targets are achieved.
  • Manage any tendering process for services to ensure the business is successful in all appropriate bids.
  • Build rapport and mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external customers/stakeholders. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all relevant and appropriate contacts, visiting in person where appropriate.
  • Develop new business relationships with key stakeholders, but especially Personal Injury Lawyers and Brain Injury Case Managers and new ICB’s.
  • Work in partnership with other members of the wider PJ Care team to implement Company strategy and identify and develop business opportunities in line with business strategy.
  • Achieve targets and report agreed sales KPIs in order to maintain occupancy levels at the neurological care centres.
  • Be the initial, and where appropriate, continuing point of contact for placement calls and referrals.
  • Plan, prepare and deliver presentations tailored to audience and venue as required.
  • Manage the negotiation process between PJ Care Ltd and care commissioning teams,
  • Attend referral meetings having ensured relevant information is available to be considered.
  • Assist in preparation of Board sales reports and take ownership of the weekly sales pipeline.
  • Work with the wider Operational Board to establish and understand the agreed key messages, in order to effectively promote the business in line with the 5-year business strategy.
  • Seeking and developing opportunities proactively.
  • Manage the maintenance of the CRM database, Power BI dashboards and MS Lists ensuring co-ordination of data capture and generation of statistical reports as required by senior management.
  • Ensure the sales process is managed and implemented to the required quality standards.
  • To meet PJ Care values and to assist the wider PJ Care team in meeting these values.
  • Demonstrate a continuing interest in understanding neurological conditions and how they affect residents and their families.
  • Remain informed with current knowledge relating to PJ Care’s competitors.
  • As a member of the wider Operational Board, the postholder is expected to participate in related activities, business functions, events and meetings, as required.
  • This role may require attendance at exhibitions and conferences for promotional purposes and could require overnight stays at these events depending on location.
  • Other duties as reasonably requested from time to time.

The weekly working hours required are 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. PJ Care are individually responsible and expected to safeguard and promote the safety and welfare of all individuals who access PJ Care services to ensure everyone is protected from actual or potential harm.
