Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Haydock

Salary: £40k-£50k

XCL are currently working with a client based in Haydock, who are market leaders with in the polymer and plastic fabrication sector and are they’re looking for an experienced Production Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Site Director and be an integral part of the management team, being held accountable for all production activities, it’s staff and their safety.

As Production manager you will manage all resources within the production area, maintaining costs and quality targets, while contributing to the improvement of the productive output and it’s cost layout.

Other job responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

· To lead and control the manufacturing department.

· Investigate any customer complaints and implement a course of action to avoid recurrence of issue.

· Contribute ideas to the improvement of the cost and quality of the manufacturing performance.

· Collaborate closely with the different departments/resources to identify and reduce wastage and expenses.

· Support all the teams and individuals into gaining their maximum motivation and commitment levels.

· Working together with the site management team to meet long term business objectives.

· Ensuring resources are available to meet business objectives.

· Continuous focus on developing an effective teamwork environment within the site.

· Oversee and ensure compliance from the team on all health and safety standards, along with legal and company wide expectations e.g. PPE, HACCP, COSHH etc.

· Monitor and communicate performance standards for all activities and agree action plans within the team e.g. material usage, labour costs etc.

Job Requirements:

· Must have proven experience as a production manager or within a similar role

· Excellent communicator with strong team leader skills, the ability to motivate effectively while delegating efficiently.

· PC literate i.e. confident with ‘Excel’ and ‘Word’

· Must have a thorough understanding of all health and safety regulations

· Ideally would drive and have their own transport

Hours:

Monday- Friday- flexible hours

(40 hours per week)
