Our client is now looking for a Stage Manager.

Summary

The Stage Manager supports the VP of Production & Studio Operations in managing daily physical production activities. They serve as the main point of contact between the studio and clients, ensuring smooth operations and swift resolution of any issues. This role requires a proactive, client-focused approach to maintain high standards of service.

Overall Responsibility & Job Purpose

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Production Support:

Collaborate closely with production teams daily to fulfil all production-related needs and requests.

  1. Facility Management:

Monitor and manage stages, support offices, construction mills, and other facility locations.

  1. Quoting Services:

Provide quotes to production teams for requested production services.

  1. Documentation and Reporting:

Oversee daily stage logs and studio reports to ensure accurate record-keeping.

  1. Emergency Preparedness:

Develop and implement emergency preparedness plans for productions and the studio.

  1. Client Interaction:

Conduct client tours and meetings, showcasing facilities to potential clients alongside the CP, Client Services & Operations teams.

Understand client backgrounds and the nature of their productions.

Build and maintain excellent relationships with key client contacts and crew members.

  1. Facilities Coordination:

Communicate regularly with the facilities team to report and resolve potential issues.

Ensure all areas are clean, presentable, and prepared for client use at all times.

  1. Operational Improvement:

Identify and implement ways to enhance studio operations' effectiveness.

  1. Scheduling Coordination:

Work with production teams to coordinate prep and shooting schedules, ensuring adequate studio coverage.

  1. Maintenance Notifications:

Inform tenants about upcoming maintenance works that may impact their schedules, such as power or connectivity shutdowns.

  1. Client Handover:

Be present during client move-ins and move-outs to ensure smooth transitions.

  1. Financial Tracking:

Review and maintain the purchase order log, coordinating with the studio accounts team to ensure accurate financial documentation.

  1. Weekend Coordination:

Send out weekend call sheets internally, informing the team of weekend work schedules and special requests.

  1. Event Assistance:

Assist the Marketing team with special events, including seasonal decorations, tenant gifts, and other events.

  1. Primary Liaison:

Act as the main contact for clients, addressing and resolving issues promptly to instil confidence in the studio's ability to meet their production needs.

The Stage Hand must consistently perform duties thoroughly, maintaining a polite, friendly, and helpful demeanor to ensure client satisfaction at all times.
