Major Talent are thrilled to be partnering exclusively with a global chemical engineering company currently experiencing an exciting phase of growth.

To support their ongoing expansion, they are seeking to recruit a Project Manager to oversee the entire project life cycle.

THE ROLE:

As a Project Manager you will be required to:

• Work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Manage project activities from concept through to handover
• Organise project activities including planning, organising, monitoring and reporting status updates
• Create project timing plans and milestones
• Regularly review progress against set targets
• Risk management to prevent issues from occurring
• Ensure corrective actions are implemented to enable successful project delivery
• Manage project changes, liaising with customers and colleagues
• Identify improvement opportunities
• Work in a cross functional team
• Motivating team to ensure optimum performance levels

THE CANDIDATE:

The ideal Project Manager:                                                                                        

• Degree educated in Chemical Engineering
• Proven track record of managing projects at component level within a manufacturing business
• Excellent planning and organisation skills
• Strong commercial acumen and business awareness
• Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels
• PRINCE 2 / PMP/ APM PMQ Certified
• Previously worked on a COMAH site
• Working knowledge of DSEAR, CDM, COMAH
• Strong problem solving skills
