We are looking for a Brand and Communications Manager to join our successful Marketing team. This role is based at our Kirkham Office. 

Role and Responsibilities: 

The Brand and Communications Manager will be responsible for the organisation’s brand positioning and image for Inspired PLC’s varied audience groups. A true ambassador for Inspired, you’ll demonstrate an in-depth understanding of developing and executing brand strategies that align with market trends and consumer preferences.

You will work closely with our content and design-focused team members to produce creative, engaging, and educational content, aligned with our brand guidelines, to be utilised across multi-channel campaigns and communications. You will be the powerhouse behind your team, inspiring and supporting them and providing expert coaching to ensure targets and goals are exceeded.

We are looking for an innovative, pro-active, and detailed candidate with experience of working in a continuously evolving and fast-paced sector, where clients expect you to be able to react quickly, efficiently, and effectively. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong commercial acumen and presentation skills and committed to finding new ways to enhance the customer journey and experience.

You will also work closely with the wider group marketing team to support campaigns, events, new product development and launch strategies and liaise with agencies, suppliers, partners, and sponsors.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to: 

  • Successfully manage brand-related projects and campaigns, from initial development through to go live
  • Work with the Head of Marketing to develop the creative content strategy to ensure optimum customer conversion and brand engagement; providing a steer on the creative mediums used
  • Proactively research updates in different markets, industries and government changes and regularly inform on announcements affecting UK businesses, relevant to energy and sustainability legislation. Provide engaging and digestible content to aid understanding for colleagues and clients
  • Manage the content and design-focused team members, effectively supporting individual development
  • Champion the brand internally and externally, making sure all colleagues and business streams understand the brand, its goals and are working within the maintained brand guidelines
  • Execute the internal communications plan and support on communications for change and business transformation projects to support the group strategy
  • Liaise with wider stakeholders to identify the right storytelling and key messages to support delivery of KPIs, financial targets and customer goals, provide written briefs and constructive feedback
  • Measure effectiveness against objectives, ensure appropriate sales follow up and provide figures for month-end reporting.
  • Support the wider team to produce sales support materials, event content, collateral, bid & proposal content and presentations
  • Read and comply with the company Health & Safety Policy; taking reasonable care for the Health & Safety of themselves and others; co-operate with managers and other employees in fulfilling our objectives and statutory duties.

Experience and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A minimum of six years’ experience in a similar role within a B2B environment
  • Experience in managing and leading a team
  • Experience in liaising with partners, suppliers and agency resources
  • Good knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Strong stakeholder management - internal and external
  • GCSEs and A-Levels
  • Marketing/Business/Design/PR and Communications Degree or equivalent qualification.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience working for a PLC or across a group housing multiple B2B brands
  • Previous knowledge/experience of the utilities industry
  • Technical qualification to support role function (i.e. CIM, IDM, CIPR, PRCA etc)
