External Site Manager (Roofing & Steel Structure)

£65,000 - £75,000/annum

A Tier 1 Main Contractor with a global presence is looking for an experienced External Site Manager with Roofing and Steel Structure experience. The job is in Camden, it is live and began with the demolition of 6 buildings in January 23. Total project value is £300M and is running until 2027. 

Essential Criteria: 

  • Skills in roofing (hot melt,) Landscaping, steel structures (essential) and glass surface roofs 
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations including UK H&S construction laws and their application
  • Ability to manage Assistant Site Managers and subcontractors
  • SMSTS, CSCS  Black Card (white card also acceptable in some cases) - must be current
  • Stress Management
  • High levels of quality standards
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks at once
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and produces accurate work

Job Purpose and Scope:

Manage interface with various engineering teams and lead a subject to completion. Clarify the technical information, scope of works and interfaces with other trades during the procurement phase. Manage and coordinate all  external façade activities, in respect of Health and Safety, Quality and Programme. Manage the costs associated with the works and any variations, should they arise, in liaison with the Site Quantity Surveyors.  Lead weekly progress meetings and produce the required timeline of works / action points. Manage the overall façade completion programme.
