A globally-recognised electronics manufacturing organisation is seeking a Systems Engineer to work at its Norwich manufacturing facility, joining a talented and motivated engineering team as well as collaborating with other teams around Europe and in the USA.

As a Systems Engineer, you collaborate with a team of Mechanical, Optical, Electrical, Software and Manufacturing Engineers to design these cores, translating designs into high performance products for our customers. Applications range from precision analogue measurement to image processing to RF systems. You will have opportunities to specialize in a subject area, or broadly cover many technologies. 

Responsibilities:

  • Representing the technical expertise in the perspective product line and work other functional units, Engineering, PMO, Products, OPS to prioritize projects/programs in the product category
  • Establish design concepts and architectures, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and testing
  • Determining project requirements and developing work schedules, budget estimation for the team
  • Working with engineering managers on product development. Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals for each project through driving VM/DM in the Obeya
  • Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects/programs are completed to standard including specifications, budget, schedule, and sustainment 
  • Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible, and proactively drive execution of countermeasures with engineering managers 

You will have a close working relationship with the organisation's technical experts around the globe.

Experience:

  • University degree in Physics, applied or technical Electronics, Microsystem technology, or similar
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in designing electronic systems
  • Knowledge in Electronics 
  • Knowledge in the area of measurement technology in electronics and electrical engineering
  • Knowledge in software programming like C#, Python are welcome
