Working Hours: 06.00am – 18.00pm, 4 On 4 Off

Stonegate Farmers are currently seeking a Machine Minder to join our team based in Lacock, Wiltshire.

The successful candidate will be an analytical, computer literate, forward thinking, proactive individual, who will be responsible for the operation of our automated grading machines.

This is specialized equipment unique to the egg industry and needs constant monitoring and adjustment, so we offer a full training package to the right individual. These machines can sort up to 190,000 eggs per hour.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • At all times, working withing the company’s food safety, hygiene and health & safety policies and procedures.
  • To maximise egg throughput, while minimizing waste and damages.
  • Working along side the planning team & factory management to achieve the above.
  • Continually monitoring and adjusting egg flow to achieve the best throughput.
  • Be responsible for the machine set up, including prestart checks, product profile & printer setup and initiation, station setup, off-grade & up-grade settings.
  • To maximise the use of the secondary inline automation and be able to basic fault find, keeping downtime and stoppages to a minimum.
  • Working closely with all other departments to ensure we exceed our customers’ expectations.
  • Correct PPE must be worn at all times

  • The ability to learn and pass food based qualifications

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Candidates must be prepared to travel into Europe during their training period.
  • Previous experience working with a fast paced Food Manufacturing / FMCG environment is highly desirable, but not essential.
  • Previous Machine Operation / Minding experience is ESSENTIAL for this role.
  • Food Safety Level 2 & HACCP is advantageous, but not essential for this role
