Our client, a leader in Facilities Management, is looking to hire a UK Operations Manager.

As part of the Global Key Account, the UK Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the facilities services provided to the customers retail estate aligns with the operational and contractual requirements.  

This will include both the live and vacant properties within the customer portfolio, through the management of Regional Facilities Managers.  

In this role, strong stakeholder management is key. You will build relationships with the customers as well as the senior management team to ensure their needs are met, whilst also managing expectations within a challenging environment.  

Reporting to the Director of Operations. You will be the escalation point for issues that happen across the branch network, while also driving performance of your team to ultimately provide a high quality service. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure delivery of services to customers retail portfolio in line with the contract, while managing risk effectively
  • Build strong relationships with customer stakeholders to enable effective management of escalations
  • Ensure you and your team prioritises effectively, while still maintaining the levels of service and communication expected during challenging periods (e.g. seasonal impacts to heating and cooling assets)
  • Drive results in line with KPI requirements including Quarterly Assurance Review’s and Find & Fix visits
  • Provide reports to customer and internal stakeholders utilising data available to draw insights and trends to inform future decision making

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Hard and Soft Services experience within a challenging retail portfolio
  • Proven track record of managing operational teams UK wide
  • Risk management skills
  • Competent working knowledge of Microsoft packages.
  • Internal and External Stakeholder Management
  • Negotiation Skills
  • A team player and able to work to tight deadlines is essential
  • Good organisational & time management skills
  • Good level of verbal & written communication skills
  • Self-motivated and able to prioritise daily workload
  • A high level of flexibility and a positive attitude to innovation and change
