An exciting career opportunity for a driven and aspirational recent graduate or trainee Quantity Surveyor.

The purpose of this role:

This Graduate/ Trainee QS role is a key role within the projects/contracts team working for a market-leading specialist contractor.

Working with the Commercial manager the role will be commercial-based.

The role will operate as a support function to the delivery of the commercial aspects of all projects. Supporting the commercial manager to manage, track, advise and administer all commercial aspects of a project to whilst ensuring that the project is delivered on budget, maximising opportunity and minimising risk.

Administering KPIs and assisting in reports for SMT & Board meetings and generally working with the Commercial manager.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to expand their working experience and knowledge to a level with no limits applied by the business. With the opportunity to QS smaller projects in their own right and gain exposure to senior-level functions. Individuals who are aspirational and driven are encouraged to apply!

Requirements for the role

  • A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Effective communication skills in order to successfully work with the project team and business stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
  • Strong character for dispute resolution
