About the Factory Technical Compliance Officer job
Reporting into the Assistant Technical Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, auditing, and continually improving the food quality and safety and providing technical support to production and hygiene teams. Predominantly based within the factory you will conduct internal audits and deliver corrective actions for daily reported non-conformances.
Key tasks
- Maintain and promote food safety, quality, legality, and authenticity across the business as well as ensuring production staff adhere to good manufacturing and hygiene practices; provide advice or training as needed.
- Complete checks that ensure desired specifications have been met and paperwork completed.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams on quality/safety issues; ensure information is recorded, communicated, and investigated.
- Carry out temperature monitoring, chemical concentration testing, and weekly weight checks and ensure traceability paperwork is completed and accurate.
- Take internal swabs and report findings and provide support to internal and external sampling.
About You
The successful candidate should have experience within a food manufacturing environment in a similar role ideally, and a real passion for food quality and ingredients.
- Good knowledge of food safety and quality and Food Safety Level 3.
- At least 1 years’ experience within a Quality Assurance or an internal auditing role.
- Driver’s license and access to own vehicle is preferential due to shift times.

The Factory Technical Compliance Officer job is based in Essex and is paying £28,000 - £30,000 according to experience. Plus a business performance bonus.
The working hours are 1:00pm – 10:00pm.
