Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager, you will leverage your proven track record in the fire and security industry to design and price integrated fire and security systems. Your background in developing and nurturing both new and existing client relationships will be pivotal in driving annual sales beyond £500,000.

You will align with our client's values and vision, striving to provide an unparalleled customer experience and professional service.

The role demands high levels of self-motivation, organisation, integrity, and dedication.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Pipeline Management: Develop and manage your own sales pipeline within unrestricted areas or industries, contributing to the Group sales targets.

    • Report directly to the Group Sales Director.

    • Convert leads and manage ongoing sales efforts.

  • Market Analysis: Research and analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to identify business opportunities.

    • Define and segment target markets in collaboration with the Group Sales Director.

  • Client Acquisition & Relationship Management: Generate leads through networking, referrals, and digital marketing.

    • Conduct meetings and presentations to explain services, answer queries, and address concerns.

  • Product & Service Development: Collect client feedback and market insights to inform the Group Sales Director of necessary improvements.

    • Collaborate with the sales team to design and introduce new fire and security solutions inline with business strategy.

  • Compliance & Risk Management: Stay informed on industry regulations and standards to ensure compliance.

    • Identify and mitigate risks associated with new ventures and partnerships.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business development effectiveness.

    • Prepare regular reports on activities, progress, and outcomes for senior management.

  • Customer Satisfaction & Retention: Ensure high customer satisfaction by resolving issues and providing exceptional service.

    • Complete site surveys and design fire and security systems using our SaaS based business management system.

    • Present proposals within customer-specified timeframes.
