AV Technician/Engineer job role

They are seeking a skilled AV Technician/Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in audio-visual systems, be detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving skills. They will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining AV equipment for various events and installations, with a specific focus on commercial projects in the retail and leisure sectors.

AV Technician/Engineer Responsibilities

• Install and configure AV equipment, including projectors, screens, microphones, speakers, and video walls. 
• Operate AV equipment during live events, ensuring high-quality audio and visual output. 
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime
• Collaborate with clients and team members to understand requirements and deliver exceptional service.
• Perform regular maintenance and updates on AV systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Document setups, configurations, and any technical issues encountered.

AV Technician/Engineer Skills Requirements:

• Proven experience as an AV Technician/Engineer working on commercial AV permanent installation projects across retail and leisure environments, not boardrooms and offices etc.
• Strong knowledge of AV systems, including audio, video, and lighting equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Relevant certifications in AV technology.
• Experience with advanced AV software and control systems.
• Familiarity with networking and IT as it relates to AV systems.
