We’re looking to support our client operating in the gas sector with a requirement for an Electrical CAD Operator / Designer. This will be a full time permanent staff role based in our client’s state of the art workshop facility near Stone, Staffordshire. What is the role?

As an Electrical CAD Operator within our ranks, you will play a pivotal role in reshaping the landscape of the gas sector while advancing your own professional journey.

Responsibilities

  • Aid the design department in generating comprehensive drawing packages with precise dimensions.
  • Proficiently utilise AutoCAD Electrical 2018 to:
  • Generate fully automated drawings swiftly and accurately, leveraging the capabilities of AutoCAD Electrical Software.
  • Create specialized and appropriately detailed AutoCAD blocks using the Symbol Builder.
  • Arrange precise layouts for electrical and instrumentation panels using the panel builder.
  • Execute various report types (such as BOM and PLC I/O Terminals) to validate the control system design.
  • Responsibly update and modify drawings in accordance with QA procedures, when necessary, modifications are mandated via the ECN system.

Electrical CAD Operator - Requirements

  • Minimum of HND in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in conceiving and implementing advanced electrical and control systems, specifically with a background in ATEX equipment and intrinsically safe circuits.
  • Astute analytical and problem-solving expertise with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication aptitude for effective collaboration across teams and for presenting intricate technical insights.
  • Agility in adapting to evolving project requisites and performing well under pressure.

Benefits - Pay

The salary banding for this role is £25,000 to £36,000 and is based on an applicants Skills, Training and Competence.
