Material Logistics and Planning Coordinator  with an extensive knowledge of and background in the automotive industry, required to join a well-established leading manufacturer based in Kings Norton, Birmingham.

Offered as a permanent contract, as Material Logistics and Planning Coordinator  you would be responsible for conducting and defining Material Logistics and Planning Coordinator  activities, to ensure customer delivery requirements are met through optimum and efficient supply of resources including, but not limited to, raw material, fixings, consumables including packaging.

Material Logistics and Planning Coordinator  Job Responsibilities

  • Receipt of Customer schedules and spot orders
  • Interpreting material requirements based on schedules/spot orders
  • Updating internal production control systems (trackers/FLOW)
  • Raising production documentation including Works Orders
  • Managing leased packaging to ensure optimum levels are maintained and accounted for
  • Liaising with Group Production Manager to highlight Schedule changes and Stock updates
  • Raising ASN`s
  • Take overall responsibility for obsolete parts process and ensure business is left with minimum liability and minimal waste
  • Input leased packaging consumption through Supplier Portal
  • Maintaining Goods in/out activity
  • Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions
  • Seek and recommend solutions to overcome issues arising in order to meet production requirements and address operational risks

Successful candidate for the role of Material Logistics and Planning Coordinator  must possess:

  • Automotive background - essential
  • Practical engineering experience
  • Excellent understanding of ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO14001
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient communication skills
  • Mathematical and analytical skills
  • Systematic approach

Salary: £32,000 to £36,000 p.a.
Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs 7am to 4pm, Fri 7am to 1pm
