Working hours: Day shift Monday – Thursday 7.30am- 4.00pm and Friday 7.30am-12.30pm (other shifts potentially available)

Ristara Engineering is working in partnership with a leading manufacturer of aerospace components based in Derbyshire who have been established for 30 years. They are renowned for machining, assembly, inspection, fabrication and sheet metal.

Manufacturing parts for precision aerospace companies, you will become part of a well-respected company within the UK. The position will be based at the site in Central Derby. Our client currently employ over 200 people at the site, we are now looking to add contract support to the work force to assist with the growth of the business.

Due to the nature of the market our client supplies into, all candidates must be UK residents, and DBS checks (disclosure & barring service) may be required. Please also note at this time we do not offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Responsibilities and Duties are required for the Sheet Metal Worker role:

• Experience operating fabricating machines such as press brakes, punch presses and guillotines
• Experience shaping metal using hand and other tools such as rolling, bending, forming, shaping, cutting and pressing
• Experience working with thin gauge materials from 0.5 up to 3mm
• Have experience working with Aluminium
• Previous experience withing the aerospace sector
• Able to work to tight tolerances and deadlines
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Able to work with limited supervision and have good attention to detail

Qualifications and Skills are required for the Sheet Metal Worker role:

An Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds qualification is desirable
