We are working with a Special Needs school in Dawlish who are seeking additional support from Teaching Assistants. The school caters for children with Special needs from EYFS- KS5. All children have EHCPs and additional needs including Autism, ADHD, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, Severe learning difficulties, physical needs, visual and/or hearing impairments and an array of complex needs.

GSL Education are seeking those with previous SEN Teaching Assistant or those with good transferrable skills e.g. Support or Care work.

Personal Care may be required.

Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant      
Location: Dawlish

Salary:   £83.33 per day   
Start Date: September 2024

Type of work: Short term supply, part or full time, longer term roles available.

• Candidates who have previous experience will be given preference. 
• Applicants possessing a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle will be given priority. 
• Strong communication abilities are imperative.

Responsibilities:  

• Support students along their educational journey as a Special Needs Assistant.

• Work closely with educators, therapists, and families to design effective support plans. 
• Cultivate a positive environment to enhance social and communication abilities. 
• Execute consistent interventions and engage in activities to encourage academic advancement and success.
