Position: Heavy Plant Fitter
Location: Birmingham, B9
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000 basic + Van + Fuel Card + Overtime Available
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

About the Role:

Our Clients are a prominent road maintenance company seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Plant Fitter to join their team in the Birmingham B9 area. This role involves working on a fleet of mobile plant equipment, ensuring that all machinery is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of heavy plant machinery, including excavators, rollers, and loaders.
• Respond to breakdowns and perform on-site repairs to minimize downtime.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to ensure the reliability and safety of all equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Heavy Plant Fitter, preferably within the road maintenance or construction sectors.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrics, and diesel engines.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload efficiently.
• Full UK driving license.
• Flexibility to work overtime as required.
