Exciting opportunities have arisen for experienced Multi-Skilled Engineers to join a client who is a market leading bakery and food company.

These roles are being recruited for on a full-time, permanent basis in Dunstable.


My client has day shifts and nights shifts available. You can either work from Sunday - Wednesday OR Wednesday - Saturday, working from 7am - 7pm OR 7pm - 7am. Overtime is available (you will only be able to work a maximum of 60 hours per working week).


The successful candidate will be responsible for making sure machinery and equipment runs smoothly. You could do any job from fixing machinery on a food production line to testing new equipment in the workshop. However, your work will be either preventative or emergency maintenance. you should share your knowledge and skill within the department to aid in building a World Class team and support all manufacturing processes, where robots or machines are used to perform specific functions. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you'll service and repair the equipment.
You could work on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic or computerised systems.


Key Responsibilities:
· Checking and calibrating instruments to make sure they are accurate.
· Fitting new parts.
· Carrying out quality inspections.
· Intervening immediately in the event of breakdowns, failures or malfunctions.
· Fixing faults or arranging for replacements to be installed.
· Keeping production managers informed of progress.
· Perform Scheduled Maintenance and preventative repairs on all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery where necessary.
· Repair Electrical Systems.
· Troubleshoot Malfunctions.
· Test Electronics.
· Making scheduled checks on machinery where necessary and parts usage reporting.
· Finding and fixing faults and recalibrating instruments
· Oiling and cleaning machinery and parts.
· Overhauling and replacing parts according to schedule.
· The jobs could be indoors in a factory or production plant, or outdoors servicing equipment in the building sites. You'll wear protective safety clothing for all jobs.
· you'll work as part of a team of all Engineering Technicians, Fitters and Shift Supervisors.


Qualification (Desired):
· A foundation degree, BTEC HNC/HND or degree in engineering.
· Engineering Maintenance and Installation Level 2
· Process Engineering Maintenance levels 2 and 3
· Engineering Maintenance Level 3
· Maintaining Plant and Systems (Instrument and Control, Mechanical and Electrical) Level 3
· City & Guilds Certificates with qualifications in Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
· BTEC Certificate and Diploma in Operations and Maintenance Engineering.

About you:
· Must have experience within the food manufacturing industry
· Good practical and technical skills
· Good Communication skills
· A good understanding of engineering drawings, principles, and electrical schematics.
· The ability to work quickly and under pressure.
· The ability to manage a varied workload.
· Good problem-solving skills.
· The initiative to work on your own or as part of a team.
· An awareness of health and safety legislation.

During screening we will discuss your preferred shift.

Days salary is between £34,944 to £49,920.

Night salary is between £39,936 to £54,912. However this can be negotiated for the right person.
