IMH Recruitment are currently looking for a Driver/ Driver’s Mate for our recycling client based in Barnsley. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven candidate looking for progression.
As a Driver's Mate, you will work alongside the driver to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of material to various locations. Your role will involve assisting with loading and unloading the material, communicating effectively with the driver, and providing support throughout the delivery process.
The Role:
- Work collaboratively with the driver to ensure smooth operations.
- Help with the loading and unloading of material from the vehicle.
- Support as a slinger/signaller attaching loads to the cranes and safely guide the crane drivers.
- Communicate effectively with the driver and customers during collections.
- Complete relevant paper.
- Support in the recycling yard.
- Share driving responsibility both long and short haul.
- Overnights stays are required.
Hours & Pay:
Monday - Friday - start times can vary from 3am-5am.
40 hours a week on average.
Shifts vary
£11.44 per hour.
