MERITUS are recruiting for General Operators to join our defence client in Bolton on an initial 12 month contract to work specifically on Microelectronics.

GENERAL OPERATOR - INSIDE IR35 - £23.91 PER HOUR (RISING TO £25.26 PER HOUR AFTER 12 WEEKS) - 12 MONTHS - BOLTON - SINGLE STAGE INTERVIEW PROCESS

Position Summary: The Microelectronics Operator will be primarily responsible for executing detailed manufacturing tasks with a focus on microelectronics, adhering to product certification procedures, workmanship standards, and allocated budgets and timelines. This role is critical in meeting project objectives and maintaining the highest quality standards in our client's microelectronics production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Microelectronics Assembly: Perform precise assembly and manufacturing activities related to microelectronics, ensuring all work adheres to requisite procedures, quality standards, safety protocols, and timelines.
  • Process Efficiency: Contribute to the smooth flow of work and information within the microelectronics manufacturing area, optimizing efficiency and productivity.
  • Quality and Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to agreed standards and behaviors, including compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Cross-Functional Support: While primarily focused on microelectronics, you may also be tasked with supporting other departments as needed, including Looming, PEC Assembly, Plastics, and Manufacturing Control/Stores.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Microelectronics Expertise: Experience in microelectronics is essential, with a strong understanding of fine work and the ability to handle delicate components with precision.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and quality of all work performed.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret layouts, and follow detailed instructions precisely.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible shift patterns and adapt to different tasks as needed.
  • Independent Work Ethic: Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • PC Literacy: Competent in basic computer operations, necessary for documentation and communication within the manufacturing process.
  • IPC 610 Certification (Preferred): Certification in IPC-A-610 standards for the acceptability of electronic assemblies is preferred, demonstrating your commitment to quality and industry standards.
