Location: Guildford, Surrey

A dynamic consultancy in Surrey is seeking a Graduate or Assistant Landscape Architect to join their team. 

About the Consultancy: This design consultancy is driven by a robust design ethos. The company has over 30 years of experience of major UK developments, planning and designing projects, environmental impact assessments and Masterplanning. They operate an 'open-door' approach, embracing co-design with other sectors and maintaining strong communication channels with consultants, local communities, councils, and stakeholders. They believe in the power of an integrated approach, where problems are more easily solved as part of a wider design team.

Ideal Candidates: The consultancy is seeking a Graduate or Assistant Landscape Architect and could consider somebody with a degree but no professional experience. They have the capabilities to train somebody. Essential qualities include technical proficiency, strong design acumen, demonstrable knowledge of landscape planning.

Core responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the landscape director with the delivery of landscape planning and design projects.
• Preparing landscape design drawings, including masterplans, hard and soft landscape drawings and details.
• Carrying out site visits and photography.
• Preparing LVIA related baseline plans.
• Preparing or contributing to reports and written work, including landscape assessments and Design and Access
Statements.


Key skills/qualifications should include:
• Hunger to learn and develop as a professional.
• Design flair and technical knowledge.
• Good organizational skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture or a closely related field.
• Work experience in the residential sector would be beneficial.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
