Join our team as a Marketing Manager at Oxford Castle and Prison.

Oxford Castle & Prison watches over the dreaming spires of the historic city of Oxford. From the heights of the Saxon St George’s tower to the depths of its 900 year-old Norman crypt. Our costumed tour guides lead guests on a 1000-year journey, telling the history of this ancient site through the stories of the Castle & Prison’s most infamous inhabitants; amongst them Empresses, Kings, monks and prisoners

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Marketing professional to join the team and support us in our strategic priority to drive visitors to our attraction.

You’ll be driving the brand through creative marketing campaigns, customer and market insight and content creation. Leading on the brand and marketing for the attraction, ensuring campaigns coincide with our guests needs, helping generate enquiries driving growth and revenue.

This is a stand alone role at Oxford Castle & Prison. Whilst you will have support from our York Support marketing team you will be responsible for all aspects of marketing from social media posts to strategy for Oxford Castle and Prison so this role offers a huge variety of tasks.

A Bit About You

You’ll be a creative and experienced marketeer, with a track record in leading successful campaigns across a broad range of channels including digital, print and direct marketing, driving commercial growth.

Ideally, you’ll come from a tourism, hospitality or leisure background – but if you’re super awesome and come from a different industry we’d love to hear from you!

The ability to analyse and interpret trends, manage budgets and measure the cost/benefits of your activities is a must. In addition, you will have strong organisation and planning skills and be able to work at a fast pace, managing multiple projects at the same time. If you can unleash the potential of others and make it a great place to work for your colleagues then this would be the icing on the cake.
