Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer based in London. Due to a period of exciting growth, they are looking to appoint an NPD Technologist to assist and collaborate with wider teams on innovation.

On offer:

• Salary is up to £30,000
• 28 days holiday including bank holidays
• Monday – Friday based onsite

The role:

Reporting to the NPD Manager, the NPD Technologist will take responsibility for the progression of concepts and launch high quality and innovative products whilst collaborating with the wider team.

The successful candidate is tasked with supporting factory trials, continuously improving existing products and ensuring a smooth product launch.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Support the delivery of customer led projects
• Work on important projects with commercial objectives and food safety in mind
• Execute factory trials with wider team on NPD & EPD projects
• Conduct preparation for presentations to showcase new and existing products
• Keep up to date with latest ingredients trends
• Research legislative requirements and changes regularly to ensure compliance
• General administrative duties including process documentation and recipe information

Candidate requirements:

The business is looking for an individual with experience in a similar role within food manufacturing.

• Educated to degree level in relevant subject
• 1+ year experience within an NPD role
• Able to build close relationships with other teams
• A creative mind with a desire to create something new
