Job Title: RMN/RNLD/RGN Nurse

Working Hours:

• Shift patterns: 0800-2015 and 2000-0815
• Week 1: 5 shifts, Week 2: 2 shifts
• Flexibility for day or night shifts (will consider staff preferring one or the other)

About Us: We are a leading specialist brain injury rehabilitation hospital located in York, providing comprehensive care and support to individuals recovering from brain injuries. Our facility includes 40 beds across four buildings and four independent living flats designed to help our service users transition to more independent living within 18 months. Our team is composed of a Psychiatrist, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, and Social Worker, who work collaboratively to deliver tailored care plans.

Role Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate RMNs, RNLDs, or RGNs to join our dynamic team. Ideal candidates will have experience working with challenging behaviours in a learning disability or mental health setting, though we are open to considering nurses with a broad range of backgrounds. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to service users with brain injuries, both pre-existing and acquired.
• Manage and support individuals exhibiting minimal and mostly verbal challenging behaviour.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to create and implement individual care plans.
• Assist service users in developing skills for independent living and transitioning to other services.
• Participate in continuous professional development through a comprehensive induction, mandatory training, and optional short courses via York University.
• For those with 4+ years of experience, there is an opportunity to step into a senior role, with additional responsibilities and leadership duties.

Requirements:

• RMN, RNLD, or RGN qualification (NMC registered).
• Experience in learning disability or mental health settings is preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to handle challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
• A commitment to delivering person-centred care.
• Willingness to work a flexible shift pattern, including days and nights.
