Job Summary 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Machine Operative to join our team at Florette in Lichfield. You'll be a technical specialist on plant and process in the area of the team. You'll set up and run machinery, plant and equipment ensuring all food safety and hygiene procedures are maintained. You'll perform rudimental asset care and remedial work on equipment, will provide training to operatives and will liaise with the team leaders, and Senior technician to ensure all machinery is operating at its full capability. 

Working hours:  4 on 4 off - 16:00hrs - 04:00hrs

Under the Florette brand, our site processes and distributes pre-packed, ready to eat fresh salad bags to well-known retailers in the UK. Main Responsibilities 

• Evaluate machinery performance.
• Identify and rectify mechanical faults to machinery, and equipment where able and invoke escalation process.
• Assist to install new plant and equipment when required.
• Implement and ensure adherence to SOPS
• Complete rudimentary PPM’s as instructed.
• Management of inspections of equipment integrity on a daily basis.
• Minor maintenance following fabric/safety inspections
• Ensure operators are sufficiently trained for the current and future requirements of the department

 
Skills and Experience Required 

• Experience in a similar role - it's crucial that you have experience of setting up and running machinery.
• Level 2 Food Hygiene
• Mechanical Awareness
