Supply Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for full time, part time, or flexible supply teachers to work in schools in Driffield, Pocklington, and the surrounding areas. People who are available any days per week are available to apply, and we recruit for both 'daily supply' roles and long term cover. Payment for this position will be between £130 and £251.71 per day, depending on experience, qualifications and exact duties of the position taken. We are looking for candidates who can start 2nd September 2024, and this is a temporary/flexible position.

This role will involve teaching different subjects to different classes in different schools in the Hull and East Riding area. Work will be provided for you, and you will look to manage behaviour and promote progress. We also have 'long term' positions available, whereby you would be teaching your specialist subject and potentially planning and marking. If you are working on a flexible supply basis, you will have the opportunity to take as much or as little work as you would like, and can update your availability with us on a weekly or daily basis. If on the chance that you visit a school that unfortunately was not the right fit for you, then you can say no to any future bookings at a particular school. You also can promote your 'preference' schools to us, and we will of course look to ensure that you are prioritised for those schools. ECTs are welcome to apply, and it can be an excellent way to gain some experience in different schools and make a name for yourself.

Conversely, 'cover supervisors' or other educators without a PGCE are encouraged to apply for this role, as there is great demand for all kinds of educators!

We work with lots of different schools, from Primary to Secondary to SEND and Pupil Referral units. We have schools centrally within Driffield and Pocklington, and also in the surrounding villages, meaning there is hopefully a school for every candidate!

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Hold a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience working within schools in the UK.
  • Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
  • CV must cover the full CV History
  • Legal right to work in the UK
