Job Overview:
The Repair and Service Technician will play a crucial role in supporting our service operations, solving application issues, and providing product or technical training to customers. This role involves corrective and preventative maintenance of tools and equipment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with hands-on technical experience and a deep understanding of the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair & Maintenance:
    Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on a wide range of tools and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
  • Application Support:
    Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, working closely with customers to identify and implement effective solutions.
  • Customer Training:
    Provide product and technical training to customers, both formally and informally, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to use our products effectively.
  • Technical Expertise:
    Utilize your mechanical, electrical, or software engineering background to support technical inquiries and complex problem-solving.
  • Customer Satisfaction:
    Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, taking proactive action to meet or exceed customer expectations.
  • Innovation & Problem-Solving:
    Identify innovative solutions to problems, challenging current thinking and developing new approaches that enhance service delivery.
  • Communication & Collaboration:

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    ONC or HNC in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Mechanical/Electrical/Software Engineering).
  • Experience:
    Hands-on technical experience in repair, maintenance, and customer support, preferably within the aerospace or related industry sectors.
  • Technical Skills:
    Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, or software systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Customer Focus:
    Proven ability to maintain a clear focus on customer satisfaction and take action to meet customer expectations.
  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Problem-Solving & Innovation:
    Ability to identify alternatives to current thinking and develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • Teamwork & Leadership:
    Experience in mentoring and training others, with the ability to lead by example and promote a positive team environment.
