An exciting opportunity to contribute to the global energy transition and gain expertise in the offshore wind industry. The role involves market analysis with a focus on floating wind, delivering detailed project updates, forecasts, and market reports to a global client base. Responsibilities include researching regulatory developments, analysing market trends, and producing reports.
 
 
About You:
 
You are passionate about renewable energy with a strong analytical mindset. Whether from a research, technical, business, or journalistic background, you're keen to dive into the offshore energy sector. You understand renewable energy policies, project economics, and industry trends, with knowledge of the supply chain. While offshore wind experience isn't necessary, you should be a quick learner eager to build expertise in specific legislative and environmental areas.
 
 
Responsibilities:
 
  • Research and analysis of regulatory and policy developments, technology advancements and challenges, cost dynamics, project pipelines, site characteristics, and supply chain trends in the global offshore wind and subsea power cable markets. You will be given a focus area (a geographic market and/or a specific technology focus).
  • Active lead in producing quarterly reports and webinars analysing key market trends and dynamics.
  • Numerical analysis, forecasting, modelling, and supply & demand analysis.
  • Data entry and quality control of databases.
  • Work on bespoke consultancy projects.
  • Product and business development to innovate reports, databases and other outputs.
  • Engagement with clients to ensure requests are dealt with efficiently whilst working with the Customer Onboarder team and IT to problem solve.
  • Engage with industry by developing a personal network of relationships across the supply chain.
  • Networking and presenting at industry events, and to clients, with opportunity to travel.
 
 
 
Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree ideally in a technical, numeric, or business-related discipline, or with strengths in research and writing e.g., journalism. A postgraduate qualification will be well regarded.
  • A keen interest in renewables and the energy transition. Industry research or technical experience will be well-regarded. Existing knowledge of floating offshore wind would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Excellent research skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Any experience of the following will be well regarded: Additional language skills, strong numerical skills, statistical knowledge, knowledge of MS Access/SQL, knowledge of Geographical Information Systems.
  • A self-starter with a can-do attitude who takes responsibility for the completeness and quality of their work.

Salary & Benefits:
 
  • Salary from £26.771,00 per annum depending on experience.
  • 37.5 hours per week with flexitime, office based.
  • One day working from home per week after 3 months in-post.
