Bates & Bradshaw are working with a local manufacturer who operate in the Design, Development and Manufacturing of products for a wide range of customers. With over 30 years in business and a turnover in excess of £40 million this is an exciting time to join a dynamic and growing team.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring timely and complete deliveries in accordance with customer schedules
  • To take on a pivotal role in ensuring the successful accomplishment of departmental KPIs, which include stock accuracy, timely delivery, and delivery precision.
  • Assist in and partaking in audits and inventory checks as needed.
  • To be involved in resolving and implementing containments for any logistics-related problems that emerge from quality investigations, audits, or customer grievances.
  • Maintain full awareness of customer specific requirements  and comply with them, be thoroughly familiar with the automotive delivery requirements, and perform these duties as and when needed.
  • Provide support to the transport coordinator and off-site stock controller in their tasks, including stepping in for holiday cover as needed.
  • To take an active role in standardising all operations and transforming them into Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • To operate independently and provide guidance to the team around you.
  • Skilled in using the MRP system and Microsoft Office, enhance abilities to create pick sheets and stock check reports, and meet any other requirements as needed.
  • Fulfil any other reasonable duties or requests as needed by your Manager, Team Leader, or the organisation.
  • Act as a positive and professional representative of the company when interacting with any third party, including customers and suppliers.
  • Perform any other reasonable duty as directed by a member of the management team or supervisor.
  • To be aware of your own Health and Safety obligations, support the company’s Health and Safety Targets, and ensure adherence within your areas of responsibility.

Experience Required

  • Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills.
  • Administration Experience in a manufacturing environment 
  • Excellent Organisation & Communication Skills.
  • Highly motivated with a desire to succeed.
  • Methodical approach and attention to detail.
  • Recognising and demanding of high standards.
  • Set an example for required behaviours.

Working Hours

  • Earlies – 6am-3pm Mon-Thurs & 6am-12pm on a Friday.
  • Lates – 1pm-10pm Mon-Thurs & 1pm-7pm on a Friday.

Benefits

  • £12.40 per hour (Temp to Perm) (40 Hours per Week)
  • 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, but calculated and able to take in hours (240 hours p/year)
