The Role:

We are seeking Assistant Engineers to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team. This is a pivotal role within our project management and engineering teams, contributing to projects at various UK sites. Youll be part of a large, collaborative team dedicated to maintaining and advancing the countrys nuclear power capabilities.

This role is based at a key nuclear power station that has been a cornerstone of low-carbon electricity generation for decades. The station is now entering a new phase focused on defueling and decommissioning, which involves safely removing spent fuel and preparing the site for future deconstruction. This stage of the stations life presents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in an operational defueling environment, with potential future opportunities in new nuclear builds or further decommissioning projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist Senior Engineers with diagnosing technical issues and executing instructions in both site and office environments.
The role will be based at a key power station or nearby offices, with potential for flexible working arrangements.
Report to the site lead while ensuring task delivery aligns with client expectations.
Adhere to high safety standards and follow all required training and safety protocols specific to the site.
Prepare and maintain essential engineering documentation, including Quality Plans and technical specifications.

Qualifications:
A completed apprenticeship or equivalent experience is recommended, though recent college graduates will also be considered.
HNC/HND or degree qualification is preferred, but not mandatory.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
Previous experience in an industrial or site-based setting is beneficial nuclear experience is not required.
