Major Recruitment are looking for an experienced Team leader within the plastics industry.We are seeking a reliable and motivated operative / team leader to join our production night shift team.

We welcome applications from candidates with experience of plastic extrusion, plastic injection moulding, knowledge of sheet extrusion and ideally rotoforming or vacuum forming with HDPE. Some of our processes are innovative and unique so you must be willing to learn new production methods.

You must be punctual and reliable, adept at paperwork with the ability to work within the Company's ISO9001:2015 Quality System and in compliance with H&S systems, procedures and risk assessments. Candidates must be willing to adopt Lean Manufacturing techniques, work to output and process KPI's and be proactively involved in Continuous Improvement. You must have good communication skills and demonstrate a positive attitude towards teamwork, taking responsibility and pride in your work.

The role requires operatives to move and lift loads of approximately 25kg and you will spend the majority of your shift active and on your feet.

Night shift hours are 44 per week, Monday to Thursday either 6.00pm - 6.00am or 7.00pm - 7.00am. Basic hourly rate starting from £10.56 depending on skills and experience and increasing on completion of training. 33% enhancement for night shift. Our current extrusion team regularly work weekend overtime and you will be expected to show flexibility in working hours to meet business needs. Further wage enhancements for weekend work. Training will be on days. Our current extrusion team leaders on nights are earning approximately £42,000pa.
