Overview:

iRecruit UK are seeking a dedicated Compliance Coordinator to join our clients team at a leading Tier 1 contractor. Based in either their Horsham or Watford offices, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our projects and operations comply with the highest industry standards. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a respected company in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all company operations meet legal and industry regulations, including health and safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of compliance activities, prepare reports for audits, and ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks, working closely with management to implement effective strategies.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance matters, ensuring all team members understand and fulfill their responsibilities.
  • Audit Coordination: Assist in preparing for and coordinating internal and external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and processes are in place.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the compliance team to review and enhance existing policies and procedures, ensuring they are effective and current.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a compliance role, preferably within the construction industry or with a Tier 1 contractor.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory requirements in construction, including health and safety, environmental, and quality management.
  • Skills: Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey compliance information to staff at all levels.
  • Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in compliance, risk management, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
