We believe in investing in talent and offering exciting career paths for ambitious individuals like you. Role Purpose:As an Apprentice Site Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Project Manager and the wider project team in delivering construction projects that meet our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This is a hands-on role where you will gain valuable experience and develop the skills needed to become a successful Site Manager. What You Will Do:
  • Support the Project Manager in leading construction projects, and step in as a deputy when necessary.
  • Ensure all project works are completed "Right First Time" within the set time and cost constraints.
  • Engage with all members of the project team through inductions, 1-to-1 conversations, team briefings, and regular reviews.
  • Spend 90% of your time on-site and 10% in the site office.




 

You Will Learn

1. Quality Assurance:
  • Operate and enforce compliance with robust Quality Inspection Test Plan (QITP) and Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
  • Report and rectify any non-conformances, and provide feedback on learning points.
  • Establish project benchmark standards in writing, accepted by the client, for finish and tolerance.
2. Safety & Environment:
  • Lead the team in achieving safety targets and ensure all site rules, inductions, and forms are completed.
  • Conduct daily team discussions to ensure compliance with Risk Assessment Method Statements (RAMS), task sheets, permits, and on-site inspections.
  • Ensure all team members have a "daily safe start" briefing before work begins.
  • Report all health, safety, and environmental incidents to improve continuously. 
3. Logistics Management:
  • Help the Project Manager plan and control deliveries, collections, lifting, and handling activities.
  • Collaborate with other trade contractors and clients to achieve project goals.
  • Prepare and forward daily allocation sheets covering labour, plant, and materials to the Project Manager weekly.
4. Design & Information:
  • Assist the site team in addressing queries and site buildability issues promptly.
  • Ensure all information used for construction is the latest revision and confirmed for construction status.
5. Materials & Procurement:
  • Ensure all materials comply with the project specifications and are fully approved for construction.
6. Programme Support:
  • Support the Project Manager in producing, overseeing, and monitoring the construction programme to meet key dates and milestones.
7.  Commercial Support:
  • Assist in reviewing project costs and provide regular reports to the Project Manager and Quantity Surveying team.
  • Input into the monthly Job Progress Report (JPR).
8. Staffing & Labour Management:
  • Support the Project Manager in managing all labour and supervisor resources on the project.
  • Contribute to the development programmes for apprentices and trainees on the project.




Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Completed A-levels or NVQ level 3.
  • Holds a valid CSCS card.
  • Technically competent with a proactive and methodical approach.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and a team player.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to schedule, plan, and delegate effectively.
  • Collaborative style with a calm and assured demeanor.
  • Driven, energetic, and commercially aware.
  • Quality and safety-focused mindset.
Applicants must also meet the academic entry requirements of the course:
  • A Levels – BCC to BBB
  • International Baccalaureate – 104 to 120 UCAS Tariff points from the IB
  • BTEC Extended Diploma – DMM to DDM
  • BTEC Diploma – D*D to D*D*
  • Access – 104 to 120 UCAS Tariff points from the Access course
