Core Responsibilities:

• Compose, review, and occasionally endorse technical documents, including Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Technical Memos.
• Prepare documentation for appeals, such as Statements of Case and Statements of Common Ground.
• Oversee projects, ensuring effective management of budgets and timelines.
• Manage client and officer communications, fostering strong relationships.
• Support the development and mentoring of junior team members.
• Finalize, assess, and approve planning drawings, such as visibility splays, vehicle tracking layouts, and access designs.
• Participate in public consultations, project meetings, client discussions, appeal hearings, and meetings with Local Highway Authorities.
• Create and submit proposals and bids.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• With at least five years of experience in transport planning and membership in a relevant professional body, the ideal candidate should possess a degree or equivalent professional experience. They must demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in applying national design guidelines. Competency in computer systems, including Microsoft software, is essential, as is the ability to manage personal tasks and effectively delegate responsibilities. Additionally, a solid understanding of modeling tools and methods for calculating trip generation and distribution is required.
