⛵️ Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer - Peterborough - Marine Industry ⛵️
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Peterborough, specializing in the marine industry. This role offers an immediate start and a competitive pay rate.
Key Details:
- Location: Peterborough, UK
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 6 months
- Pay Rate: £25.00 per hour
- Payment: Outside IR35, with weekly LTD payments
- Shifts: Day shifts
Requirements:
- Must have the right to work in the UK
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Engineer is essential
- A trade test will be required
Responsibilities:
- Install all mechanical and electrical components according to the build/wiring sequence
- Test electrical circuits, identify faults, and solve problems
- Install air conditioning systems as needed
- Fit mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within boat assemblies, including through-hull fittings
- Perform tasks such as cutting, drilling, and preparing equipment for installation
- Install water tanks, fuel filters, water filters, and dockside discharge fittings
- Conduct critical checks and sign off on boat files for compliance
- Work with 12/24V DC electrical wiring, diagrams, circuits, and installations
- Use a multimeter to test 12V, 24V, 240V, and 110V systems, ensuring continuity and correct cable connections
