Elevation Senior Finance are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner to a fast growing SME construction business in Sheffield, as they looking to recruit a Head of Finance. It's a great opportunity with the the potential to develop in a Finance Director role.

You will report into the Managing Director and will be a crucial part of the senior leadership team.

You have full responsibility for the finance function, managing a small team, and you will be a strategic business partner to the Board. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Responsible for producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial accounts for Group Companies, including consolidated accounts
• Project-by-project gross margin performance (job costing)
• Analysis of gross profit performance, including meetings with Project Managers as necessary to determine correct current performance
• Responsible for presenting the business’ performance in monthly Board meetings 
• Responsible for producing external investor reports
• Responsible for preparing annual financial statements 
• Be the point of contact for the external Accountants for audit 
• Responsible for producing and reporting rolling 3-monthly cashflow forecasts 
• Responsible for producing revenue forecast
• Attending weekly management meetings to present the numbers
• Attending annual business strategy meetings to assist with decision making
• Process and system improvement
• Perform ad-hoc projects
• Budget preparation and review

Key skills / qualifications:

• Fully qualified - ACCA / CIMA / ACA
• Construction experience preferred
• Sage 50 
• Project costing
