Science Teacher

Location: South Shields

Pay Scale: £120- £180 per day

Start: September 2024

Contract: Part-Time/Full-Time

GSL Education is looking for a dedicated Science Teacher to join our esteemed school community in South Shields. This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who want to inspire and engage students in the exciting world of science.

Job summary:

As a Science Teacher, you will be responsible to deliver high-quality science education to the students. You will design engaging, innovative lessons that helps students to grow interest and attain deep understanding in scientific principles.

Key responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging science lessons.
• Assess, monitor and provide feedback on students’ progress
• Develop and implement schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessment materials.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the development of the science curriculum.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Degree in Science or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching science at school level is preferred.
• An updated CV (covering last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
