About The Role

ARAG UK has an excellent opportunity for an ATE Underwriting Assistant to join our Underwriting department on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will hold responsibility for the general administration that supports our ATE Underwriting team. The team is responsible for ensuring good performance of the ATE book, and the ATE Underwriting Assistant will play a really key role in helping that run smoothly.

This will involve approving requested amendments to policies, updating policies in line with audit findings and, over time, assisting with some of the new ATE application referrals.

This role is a great opportunity to learn the basics of ATE underwriting and help ARAG fulfil our mission to deliver access to justice, not just to those who can afford it. We offer a supportive and progressive environment, with the ability to explore further study opportunities to grow your career with us.

About You

We are keen to hear from candidates with high attention to detail, and the ability to maintain a high quality of work when dealing with repetitive tasks. You will be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with a passion for developing their skills and learning new things.

Ideally you will have previous experience working within an administrative role, but we are open-minded, and if you have a passion for a career within Insurance, then we would love to hear from you!

As a team we are passionate and enthusiastic about what we do. Our people are encouraged to think independently and to take ownership of their work. You will be agile in the way that you work and adaptable to change. In return for your commitment, we will offer you generous remuneration and an attractive benefits package which will include:

- 25 days holiday with the option to buy up to a further 5 days
- Company pension scheme with the option to increase contributions
- Group Income Protection for all employees
- Group Legal Protection for all employees
- Health cash Plan
- A choice of either European Motor Assistance or Home Emergency Assistance
- Salary sacrifice benefits including Cycle scheme
- A comprehensive wellbeing programme including free eye tests
- Access to our employee discounts hub offering exclusive discounts across thousands of retail partners, including discounted gym memberships at over 3,000 gyms across the UK
- The option to join our Sports and Social club which organises discounted events such as theatre visits and shopping trips
