My client. a large group of manufacturing businesses, operate from a number of large sites with multiple buildings, roads and structures.

They are seeking a talented and motivated Civil and Structural Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent (staff) basis.

The successful candidate will join the business at an exciting time and will play a key part in the utilisation of vast invesment to work on

exciting projects to improve and develop and modernise their infrastructure.

The appointed Designer work collaboratively within a design and construct team to deliver the civil design for multiple projects ranging from £50k to £10m in value.

• • Develop Planning applications, Building Regs, detailed design, and construction drawings.
  • Design of highways/drainage/structures.
  • Produce drawing packages including design calculations for all stages of development.
  • Developing SuDS strategies for major developments.
  • Land and Building surveying.
  • Formulate designs in conjunction with the civil team in order that the most efficient cost effective methods are achieved safely.
  • Provide structural design advice and expertise to construction projects.
  • Preparation and submission of applications to relevant Authorities.
  • Detail and administer BIM practises.
  • Support the delivery team and Client to fulfil its designer's responsibilities under CDM.
  • Checking compliance with Client specifications and current regulatory standards.
  • Designing facilities/infrastructure with ‘Design for manufacture’ in mind.

Essential

• Degree/HNC/HND in Civil Design / Structural Engineering, or equivalent.
• Excellent understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
• Practiced experience in construction design within the industrial sector (client or contractor biased).
• AutoCAD proficient.
