Location: Belfast

Duration: Permanent. Please note applicants will need to be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis.

Hours: Full Time position working 37 hours per week. 8.30am-5pm Mon-Fri, with flexibility to work 1 evening a week until 7pm. Please note, there is no hybrid or working from home option for this role.

Salary: £22,630

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an individual to join their Customer Service team. The Customer Advisor will be responsible for recording customer and job request details on company systems and initiating appropriate responses, in line with defined business processes to deliver excellent customer service, paying particular attention to safety, sales and standards of service requirements.

You will be responsible for administrative duties, contacting customers to plan jobs, liaising closely with our partners and outside agencies, and dealing with any enquiries and complaints relating to our work. You will also be responsible for processing utility requests from third parties via our telephone number or email address.

You will handle various incoming and outbound telephone calls effectively, providing an efficient and effective service to existing and potential customers and handle and resolve customer complaints in line with company values and standard operating procedures.

The post holder will also be highly proficient in data inputting and assisting with administrative tasks and updating relevant company asset systems, including filing job designs/packs and general administration.

Experience & Skills required:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE passes (or equivalent) to include English and Maths at Grade C or above.
  • At least one year’s experience working within a customer service environment and dealing with telephone enquiries.
  • At least one year’s administrative experience.
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative without supervision.
  • Ability to multitask various activities.
  • Excellent communication skills including a polite & friendly telephone manner.

Desirable criteria:

  • 1 years’ experience working within a contact centre dealing with high volume telephone enquiries.
  • Experience of managing a diary system.
  • Experience of updating high levels of data on a computer system.
  • Experience of complaint handling.

In addition, candidates must be able to answer the following questions:

1. Are you eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis? (documents will be required)
2. Are you eligible to work in the UK on a full time basis?
3. Do you have 12 months experience in Administration and 12 months experience dealing with telephone enquiries?
