RMS Recruitment are actively seeking an experienced and dynamic manager to oversee our clients LGV Test Centre based in Cramlington.

Job Details:

• Location: Cramlington
• Position: LGV Test Centre Manager   
• Type: Permanent Position
• Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7am – 4pm
• Salary: £45-48k per annum

About the Role:

Working as a LGV Test Centre you will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the test centre and workshop, with focus on efficiency and productivity. Your duties would typically include:

• Business development and sales.
• Budget and cost control management.
• Enforcing health and safety standards.
• Developing customer relations ensuring effective fleet maintenance.
• Planning and scheduling workloads (including ATF lane)
• Collaborating effectively with the DVSA.
• Negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing on parts.
• Ensuring effective operation of invoicing systems.

About You:

• Experience in commercial business development and sales experience, as well as prior managerial experience running a workshop and leading a team of technicians.
• Experience with LGVs, PCVs, and Light Commercial Vehicles is essential.
• While a Category C or C&E driving license is preferred, it is not mandatory.
• Strong team leadership abilities, with a focus on flexibility, adaptability, and excellent organisational, prioritisation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in IT is essential.
