We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Manager based in St Albans to join one of our clients on a full-time permanent basis. Our client has an excellent reputation and are one of the top 40 accountancy practices in the UK. They are looking for a qualified HR Manager with a background in professional services to join their team and provide support across their four sites.

 Responsibilities of the Senior HR Manager

  • Directly manage a small HR and Talent team.
  • Work closely with the HR Director and act as key point of contact for senior stakeholders across the business.
  • Advise team on employee relations issues, performance management, absence management, employment law and more.
  • Facilitate the appropriate management of employees.
  • Complete HR reporting including SSR and establish HR KPIs.
  • Manage the annual salary benchmarking processes.
  • Resolve employee relation issues and manage complex cases including disputes, disciplinaries, grievances, redundancies and more.

Requirements for a successful Senior HR Manager

  • CIPD Level 7 qualified with several years of HR Management experience at a senior level essential.
  • Background in professional services and managing HR operations in a medium sized business essential.
  • Proven employee relations experience including managing and resolving complex cases.
  • Several years’ experience managing and leading a team is essential.
  • Able to use HR and business knowledge to develop employee and organisational capabilities.
  • Excellent working knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid work history.

Salary: Competitive
Location: St Albans, covering multiple sites across Milton Keynes, London and Rickmansworth
Type of Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday 9:00am – 5:30pm
