My client who is a reputable employer with a strong heritage based near Cwmbran are looking to employ a Warehouse Team leader in this exciting permanent opportunity.

The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for ensuring efficient control and movement of raw material and finished goods inventory into, through and from the warehouse. A passion for stock accuracy and inter-departmental support is paramount. Ensuring the movement of materials is carried out in a controlled and timely manner, whilst liaising with all dependant areas.

Your main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee efficient management of warehouse operation
  • Safe and timely stock management, including regular racking inspections
  • KPI reporting and analysis with view to improving overall effectiveness of team
  • Ensure accurate stock control across site including regular cycle counting
  • Support for H&S activities within Operations team
  • Liaison with multiple freight forwarders and hauliers to ensure prompt collection and onward delivery to customer and subcon sites
  • Responsibility for developing skills and competencies within Warehouse team. Performance management as appropriate.
  • Efficient issuing of raw material against internal and subcontract works orders
  • Ensure preparation of finished goods for on time despatch to customers across the globe
  • Liaison with other teams both on site and internationally
  • Management of off-site storage facility
  • Review of OA checklists with Ops team re ship dates and stock availability

In order to be successful you will need:

  • High attention to detail; ability to accurately follow assembly instruction
  • Experience of ERP systems and MS Office
  • Forklift licence
  • Warehouse and Despatch experience.
  • Highly motivated and dedicated to exceed customer expectations
  • Basic numerical and verbal ability; GSCE grade C in Maths and English or equivalent
  • Experience of working to tight timescales, to meet key production deadlines
  • Flexibility in dealing with changing priorities
  • Ability to meet all production and quality standards
  • *The ideal candidate will have experience of working within highly regulated environment e.g automotive, medical, aerospace, or similar.
