Role 1: SENDCo

Role 2: Deputy Head/Class Teacher

Start Date: September 2024

Role Descriptions:

Class Teacher/Deputy Head (Part-Time, Class-Based)

  • Inspire and engage young learners with innovative teaching methods.
  • Provide strong leadership and support to fellow educators.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Teacher to implement school policies and initiatives.

SENDCo

  • Lead and manage the provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
  • Work closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to develop and implement effective support strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion and high expectations for all students.

Combined Role: Class Teacher/Deputy Head and SENDCo

  • Integrate the responsibilities of both roles, providing comprehensive leadership and support.
  • Balance classroom teaching with SENDCo duties, ensuring a seamless, inclusive learning experience for all students.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status and relevant educational degree (NASENCO)
  • Excellent knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational trends.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
