The Audit Department Credit Review Group (ADCR) are asked to provide reasonable assurance regarding the accuracy of the Obligor and Facility grades as well as the Borrower's Category which are assigned to the Bank's credit related Obligors. These are proposed by Front Office (FO) departments from across the clients EMEA offices and approved mainly by Credit Department (CD).

ADCR activities include Continuous Review, Branch Credit Review, Self-Assessment (SA) Classification Review and Discounted Cash Flow Reviews.

This role will assist the ADCR Team in completing assigned reviews and administrative tasks such as downloading and transforming data and reporting.

The ADCR AVP has no direct reports.

There is no monetary budget, but time budgets for the completion of each credit review are established and the ADCR AVP is expected to deliver the completed reviews within the budgeted timeframe.

The ADCR AVP interacts with ADCR team members and ADCR Management up to ED/MD level.

The ADCR AVP is responsible for credit reviews that are assigned by the Credit Review Partner. The credit reviews are normally related to plain vanilla corporate financing including review of subsidiaries of Japanese corporates although there are cross training opportunities in other areas.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Conduct a review of credit applications to determine, based on the agreed sampling methodology, which applications will require a Full File Review.
  • Conduct a Full File Review of assigned credit applications to ensure accuracy of the Obligor and Facility Grades as well as Borrower's Category (if applicable).
  • Discuss and agree with the Credit Review Partner and raise questions with FO person in charge when clarifications are required to complete the credit reviews.
  • Submit reviews to Credit Review Partner for approval including draft Recommendations and Other Findings.
  • Undertake the follow-up and closure of any Recommendations raised.
  • Complete any other ad-hoc / administrative tasks assigned by Credit Review Partner including data downloads, data transformation, reporting, Self-Assessment Classification Review or DCF Review.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Good communication skills are required in the interaction with FO, CD and Internally with ADCR Team/Management.
  • Good writing skills are required for preparing reports / documenting findings.
  • Financial analysis skill and some accounting knowledge are required to conduct assessment of credit monitoring.
  • Some previous credit experience in financial sector is desirable
  • Attention to detail is essential to efficiently review and document work.
  • IT literate.
